Are you ready to be intentional about your life?

I'm a holistic personal development coach from Washington, D.C., focused on helping individuals align with who they are at their core, communication skills, confidence, and more. With 13 years experience in management of teams and leadership in the workplace, and 17 years experience in writing and editing, I believe in helping people to create, reclaim, and hone their narratives so they have the power to own and tell their own stories. I also believe in a holistic approach to coaching and development, meaning I help clients with mindfulness, meditation, body practices, self-care tactics, boundary setting, and more.

My story is this: I have been in talk and group therapy for nearly a decade to deal with anxiety, depression, and other personal issues, and while I found it so valuable to explore my past, I often struggled with concrete actions to help me actually change things. Talking about stuff over, and over, and over again sometimes had me feeling in a rut, and I wondered when I might ever actually make real change instead of just spinning stories and thoughts around in my head intellectually.

This all changed when I discovered integral, holistic coaching. Working on body & somatic practices, doing self-observation, journaling, guided meditations, considering my relationship with nature, sleep, my body, my breath, and more — everything changed. By moving out of my intellectual head and considering my whole body and being, I have been able to step into the person I always wanted to be — and in a much shorter timeframe than I was achieving in traditional talk therapy.

Knowing how powerful this work is is why I decided to become a holistic personal development coach. Others everywhere deserve to have access to this sort of guidance and healing. It’s completely transformational.

If you work with me, we will consider the whole you. We will talk about your work and growth, for sure — but I won’t just consider your mind. We will work on mind, heart, spirit and body, all in tandem, in order to help you step into your own personal power and capabilities.

More about me: My undergraduate degree is in English Literature from the University of Virginia, and I have a Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University. I'm also in the process of an integral ICF coaching certification that will be completed in 2019.

I created a weekly newsletter and a weekly podcast, both called The Sunday Soother, which offer advice around mindfulness and intentional living.
